Sweta Jain, the designer of Goshwara, says the inspiration for her trademark colorful pieces comes mainly from travels and architecture.

How did you develop your signature style?
When I started, I tried something different and noticed a lack of color jewelry in the market. My strong, bold signature look kind of developed in its own way because of the color, quality and the large sizes of the gemstones used. Color has swept through the market in recent years and we’ve pretty much stayed on course as far as keeping a distinct look.

What are your main sources of inspiration?
My pieces are inspired by everyday life, architecture and curiosity. My travels, and especially all the architecture that I see during my travels, inspire me the most.

How do you work with gemstones?
My one-off pieces are inspired by the gemstone itself. Here I build the design around the stone. And for the collections, I work to have the gemstones specifically cut. But no matter the piece or collection, I try to keep my designs trendy, yet traditional and timeless.
