These designers turned up the sparkle in their earrings, rings and necklaces for the fair.
The 2023 Couture Show hosted about 350 of the most creative jewelry designers from around the world. Many of them work with diamonds both as their main source of creativity and as accents or highlights for their pieces. Here are some of the outstanding diamond offerings from brands at the Las Vegas fair.
Mizuki
Mizuki Goltz, founder of Mizuki, uses pearls as the starting point for her refined, elegant contemporary pieces. Diamonds serve as an important accent to her jewels. She uses 0.26 carats of pavé diamonds — F- to G-color, VS2- to SI1-clarity — to add a touch of sparkle and movement to this pair of pearl drop earrings in 18-karat white gold.
Harakh
For India-based jeweler Harakh Mehta, diamonds are the focus. He specializes in producing pieces using only D to F, IF to VS diamonds in 18-karat gold or platinum. His Raindrop earrings feature 32.30 carats of diamonds in various cuts, set in 18-karat white gold.
Single Stone
This jewelry brand specializes in hand-setting antique diamonds into vintage-inspired designs. Its Calypso pendant showcases 22.24 carats of old-cut and round brilliant diamonds in a handcrafted, sphere-shaped yellow gold pendant.
Milamore
This young firm has found a new way to communicate using diamonds: Its Diamond Braille collection creates inspiring messages by arranging the stones into readable braille. These Love hoop earrings in 18-karat yellow gold are a fine example.
Gismondi 1754
Diamonds are an important part of this Italian jewelry house’s creations, whether in high-jewelry or production pieces, alone or alongside colored gems. The Essenza boutique ring combines an emerald-shaped diamond with nine pear-shaped ones in a mounting of 18-karat white gold.
Picchiotti
The newest pieces from Picchiotti’s Dots collection use pavé diamonds as a sparkling background for rubies inside rose gold borders. These Dots earrings feature 104 round, F to G, VS diamonds and six oval rubies.
Assael
This company uses diamonds as highlights for its creative and luxurious pearl and coral jewels. The platinum New Deco ring combines Japanese akoya cultured pearls with 2.22 carats of old European-cut diamonds.
Tabayer
This brand sources Kimberley Process-compliant diamonds through a Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC)-certified dealer for its sculptural jewels, such as this pair of Oera earrings in yellow gold and diamonds.
Sydney Evan
The popular jeweler introduced a number of new collections at Couture in signature styles such as beaded bracelets and charms with personal and spiritual messages. One of its offerings was the Feminine Fatale line of 14-karat jewels, which included contemporary diamond designs.
